Teddy Bear Room
The Teddy Bears are a part time toddler classroom, also known as Parent’s Day Out, for children ages 20 months to 3 years old.
Curriculum
The Teddy Bear Room is our Parent’s Day Out program. This is set up for toddlers to have a chance to discover the world outside of their home. Through their play, we provide children with the flexibility to experiment, grow, and discover without the fear of failure.
Our energetic, loving teachers, provide your child with a nurturing, fun environment and wonderful first school experience. You can choose Mon/Wed/Fri, Tues/Thurs or all five mornings a week. This is a 9-month program that runs from 9:00 – 11:30 am, September through May.
Extended Care
Extended care is offered daily from 11:30 – 12:30pm with the purchase of a sticker. Extended care stickers may be purchased in the office.
Our Sticker System
- Write your child’s name on one sticker for each extended care hour. Place the sticker on our daily sheet in the classroom. Only children with a sticker on the sign up sheet prior to the extended care session will be permitted to stay.
- Children must bring a nutritious packed lunch for the 11:30 – 12:30 hour. Lunches from the kitchen are not available.
- Please label your child’s lunch with their name and date.
Birthday Celebrations
Children love celebrating their birthdays at school and can be celebrated with a special snack that you provide. We do ask that it be a nutritious snack, for example, fresh fruit, all food must be nut free. Per licensing rules, we ask that no baked goods be brought in.
Extended Care
Extended care is available from 11:30am – 12:30pm. Stickers can be purchased in the office and then placed on the sign-in sheet. You do not need to tell us ahead of time that your child is staying. If you choose to do this you will need to bring a packed lunch for your child. Packed lunches need to meet the government food guidelines (more information about this is in our Family Handbook). Lunches need to be nut free. Please check all labels to make certain that the foods are not only nut free, but have not been manufactured in a plant with nuts.

Parent Folders
Our parent folders are located outside our room. Information from the classroom teachers, the office and other parents can be found there. Please check your folder and your child’s cubby daily.

Hand Washing
Please help us keep germs to a minimum by washing your hands and your child’s hands before entering the classroom both at drop off and pick up. Restrooms are located across from the classroom.

Information Packet
Our Teddy Bear information packet provides all of the necessary material you need to know about our room, whether enrolling a new child or how a process works.
