Teddy Bear Room

The Teddy Bears are a part time toddler classroom, also known as Parent's Day Out, for children ages 20 months to 3 years old.

Curriculum

The Teddy Bear Room is our Parent’s Day Out program. This is set up for toddlers to have a chance to discover the world outside of their home. Through their play, we provide children with the flexibility to experiment, grow, and discover without the fear of failure.

Our energetic, loving teachers, provide your child with a nurturing, fun environment and wonderful first school experience. You can choose one, two, three, four, or five mornings a week. This is a 9-month program that runs from 9:00 - 11:30 am, September through May.

Extended Care

Extended care is offered daily from 11:30 - 12:30pm for $8.00 per hour. Extended care stickers may be purchased in the office. Stickers are sold in increments of five: $40 for five sitckers, $80 for ten stickers, etc. When you buy 40 stickers ($240) you'll receive a bonus 5 stickers free.

Our Sticker System
  • Write your child's name on one sticker for each extended care hour. Place the sticker on our daily sheet in the classroom. Only children with a sticker on the sign up sheet prior to the extended care session will be permitted to stay.
  • Children must bring a nutritious packed lunch for the 11:30 - 12:30 hour. Lunches from the kitchen are not available.
  • Please label your child's lunch with their name and date.

What do you love most about working with children?

I have always found that young children give us a daily reminder of the wonders of the world around us from their perspective. Having the opportunity to experience their excitement and to foster their curiosity is pretty amazing!

What are you complimented on most in your work?

I am complimented most for the rapport that I develop with the children and families. Building trust and providing a nurturing relationship ensures that each child will grow and feel safe while in my care.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tim, and keeping up with our 3 busy boys: Jake (12), Zach (9) and Nick (6). We love sports, mostly baseball, and the Buckeyes!

Birthday Celebrations

Children love celebrating their birthdays at school and can be celebrated with a special snack that you provide. We do ask that it be a nutritious snack, for example, fresh fruit, all food must be nut free. Per licensing rules, we ask that no baked goods be brought in.

Extended Care

Extended care is available from 11:30am - 12:30pm. Stickers can be purchased in the office and then placed on the sign-in sheet. You do not need to tell us ahead of time that your child is staying. If you choose to do this you will need to bring a packed lunch for your child. Packed lunches need to meet the government food guidelines (more information about this is in our Family Handbook). Lunches need to be nut free. Please check all labels to make certain that the foods are not only nut free, but have not been manufactured in a plant with nuts.
