About Discovery Camp
Discovery Camp is an intensive, thematic, play-based program for children ages 3-5. This exciting program offers social and educational enrichment during the summer months. Each Discovery Camp session offers fun outdoor and indoor activities, field trips and new friends.
Discovery Camp teachers have the education, experience and dedication to plan appropriate and fun programs for preschoolers.
Discovery Camp is a fun and fast-paced program. Previous group experience helps children adapt to this short-term program. Campers will go on two field trips per camp. When enrolling for camp, please consider your child’s readiness for this kind of experience.
Children must be 3 yrs. old by March 31, of the current year and completely potty trained to enroll.
- Each camp meets for 2 weeks, M-Th, 9:00am-12:00pm
- Tuition for each session of Discover Camp is $160.
- Tuition for each session is due in full at the time of registration.
Roads, Rails & Runways… OH MY!
What could be more fun than designing your own car, train or boat and watch it go! Using recyclable materials, wood and cardboard we will explore the wondrous worlds of transportation and learn about things that GO. A field trip to The Depot will give us a chance to “Think outside of the boxcar.”
Eating Through The Rainbow
Summertime is the best time to learn all about healthy foods and the power they give us and how we can create meals, paints and more! We will take a field trip to Aunt Annie’s and make our own pretzels as well as open our very own café for our invited guests.
Lights, Camera, Action!
July 9 - July 19
A stage is the central theme in this fun camp session. Campers will experience music, costumes, dance, theater, and much more. A behind the scenes field tip will give campers an inside peek into the world of theater and design.
July 23 - Aug 2
Does your camper like to tinker, mix ingredients to find out their reactions or create art in a whole new way? Through this camp we will mix science and art using everyday materials to make out of this world designs. A field trip to the Columbus Museum of Art will inspire us into many worlds and materials.
