Get outside and play is the idea behind the National Wildlife Federation’s newest promotion. Children used to spend hours outside every day - now those hours are spent in front of some sort of electronic device. NWF is encouraging parents to make sure their children get outside for at least one hour every day. For ideas of things to do and places to go, check out their site at www.greenhour.org

Our national organization, NAEYC, asked each of the major candidates in the upcoming national election (Republican or Democrat) the same question in order to determine what they stand for and say they will do on the important issues pertaining to early education. When you visit their site, you will also be able to link to the candidate's campaign web page so that you can read more about their positions.

Check out COSI for always-interesting hands-on learning for adults and children and ever-changing, always-amazing special exhibits. Their on-line activities are more older child/adult oriented, but definitely worth checking out. Visit them on location or at www.cosi.org
