Discovery Camp 2010

Discovery Camp is an intensive, thematic, play-based program for children ages 3-5. This exciting program offers social and educational enrichment during the summer months. Each Discovery Camp session offers fun outdoor and indoor activities, field trips and new friends. 

Discovery Camp teachers have the education, experience and dedication to plan appropriate and fun programs for preschoolers.

Discovery Camp is a fun and fast-paced program. Previous group experience helps children adapt to this short-term program. Campers will go on 2 field trips per camp. When enrolling for camp, please consider your child’s readiness for this kind of experience.

SCHEDULE: Camp meets Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm. Children must be 3 yrs. old by May 31, 2010, and completely potty trained to enroll.

TUITION: The tuition for each session of Discovery Camp is $125.

REGISTRATION: Tuition for each session is due in full at the time of registration.

Priority registration begins 8:00 am, April 19, 2010.

Open community registration begins 8:00 am, April 26, 2010.

WITHDRAWAL: No tuition refund will be made for withdrawals after June 1, 2010.

DIGGING UP DINOSAURS

June 7- June 17- Back once again by popular demand! Join us for excitement and adventure as we explore the “dinosaur age” full of dinosaurs, fossils, and bones. A field trip to OSU will give campers the chance to see real artifacts!

OUT THERE IN OUTER SPACE

June 21- July 1- Join us as we explore the mysteries of outer space. Campers will learn about planets, stars, space travel, and more. A field trip to a planetarium will give campers the chance to gaze up at starry skies.

CREEPY CRAWLERS

July 12- July 22- Campers will explore the interesting world of insects. A really cool field trip to the insectary at OSU will give them a “bug’s eye” view of insects

SADDLE UP!

July 26- August 5- Campers will experience the excitement of horses and the old west. Activities about horses, cowboys (and cowgirls!), camping, and much more! A field trip to see real horses is a must for these “cow pokes”.

 LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!

August 9- August 19- A stage is the central theme in this fun camp session. Campers will experience music, props, dance, theater, and much more. A field trip to a children’s theater will give campers an inside peek into the world of theater.
