Administrative Staff

Rebecca McCoy, Director

Rebecca has her B.S. degree in Early Childhood Development from Western Carolina University. She has over 10 years’ experience working with children from birth through kindergarten age. She grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, but after getting married, she relocated to Auburn, Alabama where she was an Assistant Director for 3 years. A job transfer through her husbands job allowed her family to relocate to Ohio in June 2014.

In her spare time she loves spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors, and reading. She loves that children are excited about the world around them and has learned so much from their exploration. Rebecca is committed to supporting and growing with them.

Jamie Basiewicz, Assistant Director

Jamie began working at NBCC in September of 2006, after completing her student teaching practicum in the Honeybee room. She has been a Penguin teacher as well as a Honeybee teacher and became Assistant Director in November of 2017. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and over 15 years of experience working with children, birth through school age. She was born in Michigan and relocated to Columbus in 2005 where she currently lives with her husband and two daughters.

What she loves most about working with children in being able to learn right alongside them, following their innocent inquisitive nature to problem solve and discover the world around them.

Dan Delehanty, Financial Manager

Dan has been with NBCC since March, 2012. Prior to that, he worked as an accountant in the financial services industry. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Dan moved to Columbus in 1999 with his wife and two daughters, one currently in high school and one in college.

Kim Adams, Support Coordinator

Kim has been with NBCC since May, 2005. She has worked with our infant and school age programs before joining the administrative team. She received her Bachelor Degree from The Ohio State University in Human Ecology with a concentration in Early Childhood Development.

Denise Toms, Administrative Assistant

Denise has a BS degree in Family and Child Development, and an MA is Business Management. She has over 35 years in the field – 17 years actively teaching with 10 of those years at NBCC! Denise is married with three grown children and one granddaughter. She loves reading and puzzles of all kinds. When asked about what she loves about children Denise answered, "I love the 'why?' questions. Providing an answer they can understand will challenge them to ask more questions."

Catalina Castro de Ugarte, Executive Chef
